On the day before in the Altai region of Khakassia was held an ecological voluntary Saturday work. In honor of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, 72 pines were planted in the Victory Park of the Izykh Kopies village. The event was held in the framework of the All-Russian Ecological Action «Green Spring». The organizer of the voluntary Saturday work was the Mairykhsky open pit mine.

During the month, from April 22 to May 22, throughout the country, there are activities to garbage collection, plant flowers and trees, collect waste paper and recycled materials, as well as help actions to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and socially unprotected layers of the population.
This year, for the first time, the Coal Company Mairykhsky open pit mine Co Ltd. was joined to the campaign. They decided to start from the territory of the company's presence — Altai region. Many workers of the mine live in the Izykh Kopies village. And this work day for them is not a public action as an opportunity to work for the good of their native village, said the press service of the mine.
Local Victory Park has long been in need of improvement. The authorities of the Altai region planned to build a community center in there and create a real, year-round green park where residents of the village can spend their free time. The workers of the Mairykhsky mine were engaged in planting the park — on May 5, they planted 72 pine seedlings as a symbol of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory.
The company plans annually conduct environmental voluntary Saturday work. And this is only a small part of a large program of cooperation with the Altai region.
